Terms of Service

By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms.

An invite-only tool for managing trips, itineraries, packing lists, a document vault, budgets, journal entries, and photos. An account belongs to one individual, not to a household. The account holder can create traveler profiles for other people and can invite specific people to view or contribute to a shared trip, but the account, and everything in it, belongs to the individual who holds it. Signup is not currently open to the public — only pre-invited email addresses can create an account.

(future) Paid access is being introduced. There is no free tier and no restricted version: access is to the whole service, for one account, for a period of time. Prices, billing periods, and any trial are shown before you are asked to pay, and are set out in section 4. No payment is collected from any user until that section is marked active.

• You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
• A traveler profile (used to track someone's trips, packing, or presence) is not the same as that person holding an account — a parent/guardian account holder is responsible for any traveler profile they create for a minor.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your email (used for magic-link sign-in) secure, since that's how sign-in works.

Who you buy from. Payment is taken by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. That means Paddle, not Note to Self Online LLC, is the seller for the transaction: Paddle takes the payment, issues the receipt, and is responsible for sales tax and VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's own buyer terms. Note to Self Online LLC remains responsible for providing the service itself and for your data, as set out in the rest of these terms and in the Privacy Policy.

Which Paddle entity.Paddle's contracting entity depends on where you buy from: Paddle.com Inc. (Astoria, New York) for the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. (Toronto) for Canada, and Paddle.com Market Limited (30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, company number 8172165) for the rest of the world. The entity that sold to you is named on your receipt. The current list is in Paddle's Buyer Terms.

What you are buying. Access to the whole service for one account, for a period. There is no free tier, no restricted version, and no per-feature charge.

Plans and renewal. Access is sold either monthly or annually. Prices for both are shown before you pay. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then shown, until you cancel.

Free trial. New subscriptions may start with a free trial period. A payment method is required to start a trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken automatically. The trial length is shown before you start it.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the period you have already paid for. You keep access until the end of that period.

If a payment fails. Access continues for a short grace period after the paid period ends, so that a late or failed payment does not lock you out immediately. After that, access ends until payment succeeds. Your data is not deleted when access ends; see section 9.

Price changes. If the renewal price changes, you will be told before the renewal that charges the new price, and you can cancel before it is taken.

Refunds. You may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, for any reason. If a renewal is charged and you did not mean to continue, ask within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it, provided the service has not been substantially used in the new period. Cancelling is not the same as a refund: it stops the next payment and leaves you the period you already paid for. The full policy, including how it works with Paddle, is the Refund Policy.

Your statutory rights. Nothing in this section removes a right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, including any statutory right to cancel a purchase within a set period.

Don't use the service to store or share content you don't have the right to store or share, attempt to access another account or trip you haven't been invited to, or interfere with the service's normal operation.

You own the trips, documents, photos, journal entries, and other content you upload. You grant us only the limited right needed to store it and display it back to you and to travelers you've explicitly shared a trip with. We don't use your content for advertising or sell it.

Ticket, receipt, and document scanning, itinerary suggestions, and budget suggestions are generated by an AI model and may contain errors (wrong dates, misread amounts, incorrect document types). Nothing is saved until you review and confirm it. Do not rely on AI-generated output — including residency/day-count reports — as a substitute for professional tax, immigration, or legal advice.

A trip owner controls who a trip is shared with. Shared travelers get read-only access to itinerary and trip details, can add/edit only their own packing items and documents (not others'), and per-document/per-journal-entry sharing can be toggled by the person who added that item. Budgets, journals, and photos are private per-person by default unless explicitly shared.

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms (e.g., unauthorized access attempts, abuse).

The service is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. [Placeholder — liability cap and disclaimer language to be finalized with an attorney before public launch; a private-beta family tool and a paid public product carry different liability exposure and should not use the same boilerplate without review.]

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, where Note to Self Online LLC is formed, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
